I love adventures, meeting new people, good conversations, long runs, and ice cream. This blog is to share my experiences with all of these (plus more) while in Malawi. Beginning in September I will spend the next 27 months serving as a peace corps volunteer in the “warm heart of Africa.” My job is officially titled “teacher development facilitator,” though I am prepared for much more. Please keep in touch with letter and emails (and perhaps a package of goodies).
Make sure to include Air Mail or Par Avion on your envelope. Airmail can take from six to nine weeks, surface mail can take around six months.
Just a note: Since I have been here over six months I now I have pay taxes on any boxes declared for more than $20. So, be on the frugal side of listing costs on the form. To me, the package is priceless.
